A French singer: Jodie Foster???

Yes, super-serious American actress Jodie Foster recorded a single in France, called "La Vie C'est Chouette" (which Google translates as "Life is Nice"). It's from the soundtrack of the film "Moi, Fleur Bleu" ("Stop Calling Me Baby!") and was released in 1977, when she was 15 years old. She's not required to do much singing in it, but it has some amusing patter, and kind of an awesome disco groove.

According to Wikipedia, Jodie graduated from a French school (lycée) in Los Angeles and has spent a good deal of time in France over the years.

Here's another video of her actually performing another song, "Je T'attends Depuis la Nuit des Temps" (which seems to mean something like "Waiting for You in the Nighttime"). It can't be embedded, but here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFcR_qDepNA
